Jade & Fountain hired corporate partners Winston Li in their Shanghai office and Brad Shu in their Beijing office. Li previously worked at Horizon Law Firm, Linklaters, Mayer Brown, and Thacher Proffitt & Wood before joining Jade & Fountain. He has experience with finance, investments, M&As., and corporation and financial transactions. Shu previously worked at Highking & Partners, Squire & Sanders, Jingtian & Gongcheng, and software company Oracle. He has experience with company listings, M&A, private equity, and venture capital.
Withers LLP Hires First Chinese Partner
Withers plans to promote former family law specialist, Rita Ku Ming Wai, as a partner in Hong Kong. With this move, Wai not only becomes the firm’s seventh partner in Asia, but their first Chinese partner internationally. Wai has experience in marital disputes, child custody, and ancillary relief.
New Singapore Partner For King & Spalding
King & Spalding hired arbitration specialist John Savage as a new managing partner at their Singapore office. Savage is a founding partner of the Singapore office, and is also the head of the regional arbitration group.
DLA Piper Shanghai Hires New Counsel
DLA Piper has hired former King & Wood Mallesons Shanghai employment specialist Ying Wang as counsel in their Shanghai office. Wang has experience in Chinese labor and employment law. She has also advised on labor disputes, social insurance regulatory matters, and labor issues.
Linklaters Beijing Adds Competition Counsel
Linklaters has hired Fay Zhou as their newest counsel on their competition team. She joins the firm from O’Melveny & Myers and previously held the position of section chief at China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM). She has experience in merger notifications and other antitrust advice involving Anti-Monopoly Law, in addition to other general compliance matters.
