       Foley Hires Co-Chair from Pryor Cashman

Selig Sacks, former co-chair of Pryor Cashman’s China practice and head of  it’s corporate group, was hired by Foley & Lardner as their new co-chair for their U.S. –China corporate practice. This move will bolster Foley’s transactional and securities practice with Sacks 30 years of experience with U.S.-China business.

        Susandarini Hires Banking Partner

Norton Rose Indonesia affiliate Susandarini & Partners hired Tasdikiah Siregar as banking and finance partner, and senior associate Haryo Baskoro from Makarim & Taira S. Tasdikiah. Tasdikiah has 15 years of experience in Indonesia advising banks on transactional debt finance, mergers and acquisitions in the banking and financial sector, and integration of foreign bank branch offices in Indonesia. She also headed the aviation practice at Makarim & Taira S. Tasdikiah.

       VILAF Brings Back Founding Partner

Vietnamese law firm VILAF named Vo Ha Duyen managing partner of the firm’s head office in Ho Chi Minh City and brought back founding partner Ngo Thanh Tung. Duyen does M&A, corporate and capital markets transactions, and advised Kohlber Kravis Roberts (KKR) on its $159 million acquisition of shares in Vietnamese FMCG Company Masan Consumer. Tung specializes in corporate, M&A, and dispute resolution.

        Sidley Austin Welcomes DLA Compliance Head in HK

Sidley Austin hired former DLA Piper partner Yuet Ming Tham for their arbitration, litigation, and regulatory group in Hong Kong. Tham was head of DLA Piper’s Asia regulatory compliance and investigation groups and Asia life sciences practice since 2008. She has significant experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device sector, and specializes in regulatory and compliance matters, governmental investigations, and anti-bribery laws.

       JSA Hires Two Partners from Baker McKenzie and Mayer Brown

J Sagar Associates (JSA) hired partners Pallavi Bedi from Mayer Brown in London, and Rupinder Malik, from Baker McKenzie in Thailand. Bedi practices in projects, banking and finance, and specializes in oil and gas, mining, renewable energy and project financing. Malik specializes in general corporate commercial, M&A, and regulatory and policy. She also has experience with joint ventures, competition, customs, international trade, WTO-related matters, and litigation.

       RPC Strengthens Singapore Office with Relocation

Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC) bolstered its Singapore office by relocating legal director Jeremy Hewitt from London to Singapore. The Singapore office, RPC’s first international office, specializes in insurance. Hewitt has experience with the London insurance market, and specializes in financial lines insurance. Hewitt’s joins the Singapore office as the 2nd partner to the office along with Mark Errington.
