Partner Dixon Hearder joined Baker & McKenzie Sydney’s tax practice. He was formerly a partner at Corrs Chambers Westgarth and led the tax practice in their Sydney office. Dixon’s tax experience includes an expertise in stamp duty and transfer pricing in regards to advising Australian and international clients on Australian tax law. He earned his Bachelors of Commerce and Law from the University of South Wales. He also holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Sidney and is a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia.

Experienced corporate partner and financial regulator, Bonnie YT Yang has joined Davis Polk & Wardell LLP. She is a valuable addition to the firm’s securities practice as the firm continues to build its Hong Kong practice. Before joining Davis Polk, Yang served as senior VP of HKSE’s Listing Division where she led the IPO Transactions Department. Prior to her work at the HKSE, she was executive director of the Legal Compliance Department of Morgan Stanley Hong Kong. She has also worked at Deutsche Bank where she was responsible for equity transactions in Asia. Early in her career, she worked at several law firms including Sullivan & Cromwell Hong Kong and New York and Skadden Arps. She is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Anthony Dapiran also joins Davis Polk as a partner in their Hong Kong office. He was formerly the managing partner at Freshfield’s Beijing office. Dapiran specializes in advising complex IPOs in the China market as well as both inbound and outbound M&A and PE transactions. Recent notable transactions include the Agricultural Bank of China’s US$22 billion IPO. He serves as counsel to a number of Fortune China 100 companies on regulatory, compliance and corporate matters. Dapiran is fluent in both Mandarin and English.
